The Where

Party headquarters for Jack's birthday weekend will be the beautiful Flamingo Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. We chose the Flamingo primarily for its central, mid-strip location, its affordability, and its incredible pool. We've stayed there before and had a great time. Plus, in the past year or so, most of its guest rooms have been revamped and look incredible (see below). Although there are undoubtedly hundreds of other hotel options in Vegas, we think you'll enjoy the Flamingo and would love to have you close-by.

Although we had initially reserved a block of rooms at the Flamingo, we ended up deciding it was easier to have people to book straight through the hotel because prices just kept falling (and the group booking company Flamingo uses was a huge hassle!).

As of May 2009, the rate for a standard room at Flamingo for the weekend of the party was $71. You can book online by visiting the Flamingo's website, linked above.

The When

No, not The Wynn, silly. We're staying at The Flamingo. I'm talking about the when.

Jack's actual birthday is Saturday, August 29. The party officially kicks off on Thursday, August 27, but we won't have anything planned until Friday and Saturday night. You're welcome to join us for one night or all three nights. Or heck, you can stay for the entire week if you want. Just know that the night to be there or be square is Saturday, August 29.

The Who

In compiling a guest list for this party, it became quickly evident that Jack has a ton of friends and they're scattered all over the country. So if you're coming to Vegas with us, expect to meet some new friends. We're expecting a group comprised of high school buddies, college friends, fraternity brothers, grad school connections, our parents, some cousins, both of our siblings, a few of the amazing people we've gotten to know in San Diego, and the significant others of all of the above. It's going to be GREAT!
